@alo.viet.kitchen is a Vietnamese gem in NW Calgary, perfect for those seeking fresh and flavorful eats with a twist! We explored their diverse menu, and here’s what we loved: Starting with the Shrimp Spring Rolls, which were crispy and packed with shrimp goodness – a great start! We then tried the Fried Calamari Tentacles, super tender with a light crunch, perfect for seafood lovers. Their Beef Pho is a must-try; the broth is rich and aromatic, warming you up from the first sip. For those who want it all, the Ultimate Bowl has a bit of everything – savory, sweet, fresh, and crunchy in every bite. The Lemongrass Chicken Rice was a hit, featuring tender and fragrant chicken served over fluffy rice. Don’t miss their drinks either! The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was bold and refreshing, while the Strawberry Chocolate Smoothie and the Fruit Smoothies (especially the Fruit Coco Cream) offered fruity, creamy refreshment.

Excellent Vietnamese food, tasty, generous portions and kind service. We will definitely be back.

Lovely Viet spot in the Kensington area. Pho and BBH broth were flavourful! Appetizers were quite tasty. Servers are attentive and overall a very positive experience for us. We will be coming back to this neighborhood spot!

I have picked up takeout for lunch at Alo Viet Kitchen twice in the past week. Both times my husband and I ordered the same thing because we found ourselves craving it days later. If you like mango salad and you don't mind a little heat, I highly recommend you check out Alo Viet. Not only is their mango salad delicious, it was just as good leftover two days later - still crunchy and every bit as mouthwatering as the first helping. Add protein (grilled beef, chicken or shrimp skewers, for example) and you have a healthy, satisfying and flavourful lunch that is very reasonably priced for the quality. My husband raved about the chicken sate sub. The place itself is super cute. There's a steady stream of folks picking up takeout at lunch, but the restaurant isn't that busy with dine-in customers so I bet you could have a lovely dining experience and easily be back in the office for that 1 pm meeting. I'll be taking my family there for dinner soon so that I can explore other parts of the menu (which is well labelled for people with dietary considerations). Everything sounds delicious!

Best bun bo hue I’ve had in a while. The pho my husband had was also very good. Both broths were flavorful, lots of yummy meat, had fresh ingredients, and cozy atmosphere. My son liked his grilled meat platter also, we would love to visit here again when in Calgary.

This place has delicious vietnamese food in the Kensington area, it was a friend recommendation and it did not disappoint! We both ordered the oxtail bun bo hue and the alo cafe float and it was amazing. The prices were fair and portions were worth the price, especially the bun bo hue, it has a really nice amount of meat in it and the alo cafe float was a nice sweet pairing with the spicy hot broth, and it being filled with vietnamese coffee and ice cream was a nice cool caffeinated boost on a hot day. The location itself has a really nice atmosphere and is located in not too crowded of an area, staff was friendly and they do have washrooms. I do highly recommend this place for a nice lunch spot.

Thank you for such exceptional service! I ordered a meal on Uber Eats for pick up. There was a mix up with my order and the team at Alo Viet called me before I even made it home and opened the box to explain the mistake. They offered to deliver the right dish to my place and I ended up with two generous portions. Thanks so much!

Might be the best Pho broth I have experienced in Canada. It’s beefy and has that full mouth feel, compared with other places that masks their thin soups with sugar and spices. Thank you for this tasty meal!
